Summertime in Texas can be brutally hot at times. So hot some people say they can’t drink whiskey. Lemonade though is an ice-cold drink that will be your best friend on a hot summer day. It is a tangly, delicious, and savorous drink that pairs perfectly with a strong bourbon to make Texas Lemonade.

The Treaty Oak Mint Julep should be appreciated all summer long. It is a brisk, invigorating, delicious cocktail that screams summer.

We borrowed the recipe from our friends at Caffe Del Fuego. The Cowboy Coffee sounds tough as nails but will surprise you with its softer side.

The Boulevardier is a Negroni with bourbon instead of gin. The Boulevardier first appeared in Harry’s 1927 bar guide, Barflies, and Cocktails.

Light and drinkable. Bourbon present with a creamy froth. Rounded by a hint of syrup sweetness. These are not what I would have thought when I stumbled upon the beggars banquet on liquor.com.

The Bourbon and Pineapple (BAP) is a whiskey pineapple cocktail. This drink follows the model of a whiskey sour, minus the lemon juice. An airy and invigorating libation with a punch.

The story of the sexy bastard is a common tale of trial and error. Born from an odd mix of ingredients. This booze packed rosé and orange juice whiskey cocktail will leave you feeling sexy.

Whiskey Sours are part of the citrus-based cocktail family known as sours. There’s a simple structure behind this group of drinks. A spirit, lemon or lime juice, and a sweetener. Common sweeteners include Triple sec, simple syrup, or grenadine. As the name suggests, it is sour. My friends at Devils River Whiskey gave me a few recipes. Out of the four, they mixed up the bourbon-spiked ice coffee is the one that excited me.

This is a variation of the classic Manhattan cocktail.
